ATS and the National Trust offer a free downloadable audiotour of Tarn Hows, on the Monk Coniston Estate near Windermere. This highly accessible trail accompanies you as you walk clockwise around the tarn enjoying the spectacle of this unique, man-made Victorian landscape.
You’ll be guided by National Trust staff and hear stories of those who helped develop the Estate including the redoubtable Beatrix Potter. Not only will you discover why the Tarn is so special and what to look out for, but you’ll hear the four-footed locals too!
